Trump just tweeted that a strike on Syria is imminent

President Donald Trump appeared to fire a warning shot at Russian Federation on Wednesday morning, saying via Twitter that the country should "get ready" for missiles fired at Syria and that it should not "be partners with a Gas Killing Animal".

"Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria", Trump tweeted on Wednesday morning.

Trump and Defense Secretary James Mattis said this week they're not ruling out the possibility of military action against President Bashar al-Assad's government after the suspected chemical attack.

The tweet comes after Russian Federation threatened the US that it will attack the United States over a potential airstrike after Syria attacked its own citizens with chemical gas weapons that killed up to 70 people over the weekend, including women and children.

"We should all be outraged at these horrific reports and images from Douma", said Dr. Peter Salama, WHO Deputy Director- General for Emergency Preparedness and Response.

In response, Trump tweeted that America's relationship with Russian Federation "is worse now than it has ever been, and that includes the Cold War". "We need all nations to work together", President Trump Twitted. But his last missile strikes on Syria apparently did not deter Assad, and it's unclear how much Trump will be able to back up his bluster. It is not in Russia's interest to escalate the war, so the Russians would probably urge restraint again if the US and allied attack was limited, the former official said.

"President Putin, Russia and Iran are responsible for backing Animal Assad", Trump tweeted.

Vladimir Chizhov, Russia's ambassador to the European Union, told Euronews that Russia is "shocked by yet another provocation with the so-called chemical attack in Douma".

On Wednesday, he again warned Russian Federation of being an ally of the Assad regime.

Moscow has blamed the first responders in rebel-held areas for Saturday's chemical attack, which killed as many as 60 people and injured more than a 1,000.

Trump has also promised time and time again that he doesn't telegraph U.S. military moves because doing so gives the enemy an unnecessary advantage.

Earlier in the day, Yevgeny Serebrennikov, first deputy chairman of the Russian upper house's Defense Committee, has warned that Russia will respond immediately if its servicemen in Syria get hit by potential U.S. strikes.
