Paige responds to the overwhelming support she has received following her retirement

"Love you and thank you", Mandy Rose, a member of Paige's group Absolution said. Sadly though, it wasn't long before she suffered another injury during a WWE live event.

The 25-year-old thanked numerous people, especially Daniel Bryan and Edge.

Since then, Paige has remained on the outside of the ring, acting as a manager for her stable, Absolution, and unable to compete in the first Women's Royal Rumble.

After confirming her retirement on Raw, Paige took to social media in order to respond to the outpouring support she has been receiving from all her fans and fellow superstars.

Back in December, during a house show, Paige was kicked in the back, which caused her neck to snap. She said that Bryan, who returned from a career-threatening injury at WrestleMania 34 the night before, gave her hope for one day returning herself.

Seeing her retire brought me to tears, especially after knowing how hard she fought to come back in November 2017.

The wrestler, who hails from Norwich, hit headlines earlier this year after explicit photos and a sex tape of her were leaked online. The former NXT Women's champion made a huge statement on her RAW debut.

Life came a full circle for Paige, as she announced her retirement and that too in New Orleans.

Addressing the Raw crowd, she described the ring as her heart, her soul and her blood.

For nearly a year and a half starting in 2016 and lasting through most of 2017, Paige went through an bad lot during her time away from the ring.

Paige, whose real name is Saraya-Jade Bevis, made her debut in wrestling at age 13 in the World Association of Wrestling, a promotion run by her family, under the name Britani Knight.

Although her fans were hopeful that she could return to the ring, she revealed the inevitable news that due to medical reasons, she's retiring from in-ring competition after four years on the main roster.

It's been speculated that Paige may also end up working at the WWE Performance Center as a coach or trainer. She was the first female superstar from NXT to help elevate the women's main roster to where it is today.
