Motorola's Moto G6 Prematurely Listed On Amazon With Specs

While most Android OEMs are using iPhone X-style display cutouts in their new phones, Motorola seems to be staying away from it, and is continuing the use of 18:9 display with minimal bezels around it. Though the pages have not put out image of the device, they reveal full specifications of the upcoming Moto G6.

For the unknown, Motorola Brazil has started sending out media invites for a launch event which is scheduled on April 19 at Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the company is expected to launch its much-anticipated Moto G6-series at the said event. We have seen a bunch of renders of the phones in the past that give a pretty good idea of what to expect on the design front.

Moto G6 Play will be powered by 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded via micro sd card slot. All three Moto G6 phones are expected to sport full-screen displays.

As you may have noticed, the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus both sport dual cameras on their backs. There's also what looks like a fingerprint sensor below the camera module with the Moto logo inscribed inside. The images were posted on Instagram and were first spotted by SlashLeaks, which also reported that the Moto G6-series is based on the Moto X4 design. In terms of optics, the G6 Play could be launched with a single 13-megapixel sensor at the rear and a 5-megapixel selfie sensor. The device will also be sporting a 13MP rear camera along with an 8MP front camera and will be backed by a 4000mAh battery with TurboPower charging tech. Following the same, the renders of all the three smartphones in the G6 lineup have come to light. The render of the Moto G6 Play, in particular, confirms that it will likely be the only model with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor while the other two will see the sensor placed below the display. The Moto G6 Play appears to miss out a physical home button at the front and a dual-camera setup at the rear. The specs sound very promising and it is confirmed that this will be a mid-range smartphone from Motorola powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
