Avengers attractions are coming to Disneyland parks around the world

No real specifics have been announced yet, but the Disney Parks blog notes that "the Guardians of the Galaxy will be joined by Spider-Man and the Avengers in what will become a completely immersive Super Hero universe".

Today Disney confirmed what has always been rumored: It'll be building a new area themed to Marvel superheroes at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim.

Across the globe at Disneyland Paris, an "Iron Man" ride will open at Walt Disney Studios Park in 2020.

The California theme park just announced that Marvel Land (including characters from The Avengers, Black Panther, Spiderman and Guardians of the Galaxy) is opening in 2020, and We. "We are excited to take the next step by immersing our guests in this ever-expanding universe - and this is only the beginning!" This new attraction will join the Iron Man Experience, which opened in 2017 and is already the most popular attraction at the resort. This new land will be anchored by the popular Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!, in the adjacent space that is now occupied by "a bug's land". This will soon be joined by Spider-Man and the Avengers in what will become a completely immersive universe that will take over the spot now occupied by "A Bug's Land" (sorry Bug's Life fans). Park-goers can expect a brand-new, live-action production to debut at this year's Summer of Super Heroes (June 10 to September 30), followed by a "hyper-kinetic adventure" in 2020, featuring Iron Man and your favorite Avengers. That's the second park at Disneyland Resort, right across the esplanade from the original Disneyland.

Disneyland Resort, Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland will all see changes in the coming years.

As for Disneyland Paris, plans for Super Hero land will take course over a "multi-year expansion", according to Disney Parks Blog.
