US could return to climate deal By

Trump said the planned US withdrawal from the Paris climate deal "wasn't a major topic" during their discussions and repeated his claim that the climate agreement negotiated by the Obama administration and signed by countries around the globe "treated the United States very unfairly".

The process of leaving is long and complex, and Mr Trump's comments will renew questions about whether he actually intends to withdraw or simply wants easier United States emissions targets.

The Obama administration promised in the pact to reduce the United States' greenhouse gas emissions 26 percent to 28 percent by 2025.

"So we could conceivably go back in", the president said during a joint news conference with Norway Prime Minister Erna Solberg.

President Donald Trump and Norway's prime minister are bonding over economic ties and military might as the two leaders meet for talks expected to focus on security issues and jobs.

Donald Trump also seems to believe that the United States is "very strong on the environment" and that the country's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is out to protect the environment. He added that the EPA and its "commissioners"-the EPA is headed by an administrator who has backed withdrawal from the global agreement owing to its impact on jobs-"are very very powerful in the sense that they want to have clean water, clean air-but we also want businesses that can compete".

Kane breaks Sheringham's Premier League record for Spurs
They can cement that with a win at the home of the England senior team, who Allardyce managed for one game but never at Wembley. Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has told talkSPORT he doesn't believe Harry Kane will leave the club.

One of the great assets of Norway is a thing called water, " Trump said. "Norway has tremendous hydro power. In fact, most of your energy-your electricity-is produced by hydro", he told Solberg.

"I am for massive oil and gas and everything else, and a lot of energy", he said.

"I wish we'd do some of that", he remarked-possibly uninformed that the USA, too, harbors sizable hydropower resources, which produced 267.8 TWh, or about 7% of the nation's total generation, in 2016.

The US President has at times seemed torn between advisers like his daughter Ivanka, who advocate for policies that mitigate the effects of climate change, and aides who believe global accords hold America back. French President Emmanuel Macron in December previous year said he was hopeful the USA would return to the accord.Commenting on the treaty, Trump said the accord would have taken away the US' "competitive edge".

Michael Bloomberg, the businessman, has pledged alongside some governors to fight Trump's departure from the Paris climate change at a local level.
