Monday night when she teased Mariah Carey for briefly stealing her seat during the 2018 Golden Globe Awards.

If anything the actress seemed to hint she knew the real season why it happened as she added: 'I came over and you know, there she was, next to Spielberg sucking up'.

On Sunday, Mariah Carey revealed that she accidentally stole Meryl's seat at the show.

Carey says at the next commercial break, "guess who comes back to her seat". Mariah was extremely apologetic about the incident, telling Meryl on Twitter, "Dear Meryl, please forgive me!" She said, "Oh my god, they made me sit down because we were moving.' They say, '5,4,3,2,1" wherever you are, everybody has to drop to their [seat]. "Everyone has to drop to their seat", recalled Meryl, comparing the amusing moment to a game of musical chairs.

Meryl did offer to let her keep the seat, even suggesting she sit on Mimi's lap because, as she put it, "it looked comfy".
