ESPN's Mark Schlabach Predicts 2018 College Football Playoff Field

Saban joins the late Alabama coach Paul "Bear" Bryant as the only coaches with five AP titles.

That's not to say every coach is willing to win at all costs.

"Roll Tide!" fans yell as the team got off the plane. "So, you know, thank God for that, and I'd just like to thank my teammates and coach Saban for giving me the opportunity". "The people are very religious and there is football, too, so how much better can it get?"

Alabama coach Nick Saban holds the trophy while celebrating with his team's win over Georgia for the College Football Playoff national championship on January 8, 2018, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. We haven't seen that from a Saban team before.

The sports network has now televised all ten of the most-watched cable telecasts in history, including Ohio State's victory over OR in the first ever college football playoff championship in 2015, a game that claimed the largest audience in cable history.

Sophomore quarterback Jalen Hurts struggled badly in the first half, and Alabama went into the locker room trailing 13-0 at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta. It all started with Clemson beating Alabama with a second left, and then the Patriots coming from 28-3 down to win the Super Bowl, and then Games 2 and 5 of the World Series between the Astros and Dodgers after that.

Saban was hopeful, but he was taking a big gamble. He finished his career with 177 tackles and seven interceptions, three of which came this year. He was prepared to watch from the sideline as his team lost another national championship.

The Bulldogs got great performances from freshman quarterback Jake Fromm and running back Sony Michel on Monday, but it wasn't enough.

He did not like the way his team had played on the offensive side of the ball while being blanked for 30 minutes, and he knew that it was unlikely anything would change if he didn't do something drastic.

Merkel's deal with Social Democrats good for Europe - Macron
French government spokesman Benjamin Griveaux called the agreement "good for Germany , good for France and good for Europe ". SPD leaders, who need to convince their party members in a vote on January 21 on whether to proceed, are playing hardball.

Some players comforted each other. Just a great win.

"I am here buying shirts, hats, pennants and an Alabama sign".

Think about this: Saban now has more national titles than the other active head coaches combined.

We're reminded of the time-tested adage - that's why the game is played. "I just think that, for his time, he impacted the game and had more success than anybody ever could". The Hawaii native entered the game in the third quarter, providing a spark Alabama's offense desperately needed.

And of course at the end of regulation, the kid took Alabama down the field like he had already done something like that a dozen times as the Alabama quarterback, and sets up what could have been the winning field goal, from 36 yards, for his kicker.

Is it possible that Hurts could have brought Alabama back in the second half? "With Him, all things are possible and that's what happened tonight".

Alabama's senior center made sure this night would go down in his own history as one of the most important in his life by asking his girlfriend to marry him. Saban is the highest paid college football coach in the country-and, according to, one of the highest paid American sports coaches, period.

In big games involving Alabama, it takes heroic efforts by the opponent to put the game out of reach.
