Detective Pikachu Is Finally Coming to the West with a New amiibo

Originally released in Japan during 2016, The Pokemon Company announced today Detective Pikachu will arrive in Europe and North America in both digital and physical formats. You can use this Pikachu to find clues to your current cases in the game. An easy mode will be available to guide players through the game, and Nintendo will also release an Amiibo toys-to-life figure that unlocks additional video clips and hints. Another reward for patient fans will be the absurdly large special edition Detective Pikachu amiibo coming out alongside the game. Side-by-side, the two friends will be investigating clues and interrogate witnesses, including the many Pokemon that inhabit the city. This Pikachu is unlike any other-the gruff Pokémon talks tough, loves strong coffee, and boasts about his brilliance as a wannabe great detective.

For those who haven't been keeping up, Detective Pikachu is a mystery adventure game, somewhat similar to the Ace Attorney titles.

Detective Pikachu is a relatively new spin off for the Pokemon series. If you thought the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Guardian amiibo was big, just wait until you get a load of this guy.

Detective Pikachu will be launching in the U.S. with a special new amiibo.
