African countries demand Trump apology

The African Union, an organization comprised of all 55 African nations, blasted President Donald Trump's comments that the continent contained "shithole countries."

The African Group of UN ambassadors is "extremely appalled at, and strongly condemns the outrageous, racist and xenophobic remarks by the president of the United States of America as widely reported by the media", a statement said. "I'm sorry but there is no other word for this but racist".

As for the shithole comment, the White House didn't even bother to try to deny it this time around.

Reacting to the comment in a tweet posted at 6:56 p.m. Mr Mahama expressed shock over the U.S. president's action and charged the African Union (AU) to condemn same. I've not read one of them that's inaccurate.

But in another tweet on Friday the president denied that he insulted Haitians. It is not true.

"In the course of (Trump's) comments, he said things that were hate-filled, vile and racist", the IL senator said Friday. What Trump did do, they said, was "call out the imbalance in our current immigration system, which does not protect American workers and our national interest".

Walker says he personally would not have used those words. Not more - not just once, but repeatedly.

Trump has impugned the integrity of an American-born judge with Mexican heritage, saying he should not decide an unrelated case because of Trump's proposed wall between the USA and Mexico.

Ryan said his ancestors were Irish and 'were really looked down upon.' He called immigration 'a lovely story of America ' and said Africans in his hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin, are 'incredible citizens'. The second is Honduran and the third is Haitian, and when I mentioned that fact to him, he said 'Haitians? "It was a heartbreaking moment", Durbin said.

"There were two of us against 10 people in the room", Durbin said of him and Graham.

UN condemns reported Trump remarks on 's***hole countries' as 'racist'
Hugo Martinez, El Salvador's foreign minister, called on the USA government to confirm or deny Trump's statements. Kinzinger joined a number of lawmakers in criticizing the president's comments in a statement released Friday.

Trump also reportedly said: 'Why do we need more Haitians? He tweeted, "The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough but this was not the language used".

Though many people find the president's remarks distasteful, Sherman doesn't believe there was anything said that was impeachable. "I think that's probably a mistake..."

On Friday, Mr Trump ignored press questions about the issue as he signed a proclamation declaring a holiday in honour of civil rights hero Martin Luther King Jr - as presidents do every year.

"When it came to the issue of 'chain migration, ' I said to the president, 'Do you realize how painful that term is to so many people?' African Americans believe that they migrated to America in chains".

Graham continued: 'The American ideal is embraced by people all over the globe.

Graham, in 2013, said during a Senate panel discussion that Mexico and other countries the majority of illegal aliens are deriving from are a "hellhole".

Durbin said Graham immediately objected to the president's comments. In the talks, he was presented an immigration reform by the "gang of six". "We should bring in more people from places like Norway", he added.

'I know the bipartisan proposal discussed at the White House can get a lot of support from both sides. As always, I look forward to considering additional ideas that could make the proposal even better.

Senator Durbin, a member of the Democratic Party, was at the White House meeting on Thursday.

The people coming across the southern border live in hellholes.
