The Rock To Get A Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

The date has been set for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced on its website.

It's no secret that Dwayne Johnson has become an worldwide success story.

The "Jumanji" reboot actor confirmed the news via his Twitter account, saying it is a "true honor" to receive the much-coveted star and calling the experience "a full circle journey".

The official ceremony takes place on December 13 ― and Johnson said he would "see everyone there". Johnson responded by tweeting a heartfelt and grateful message, and then he (jokingly?) added that he'd be providing tequila.

"Not only does Dwayne have a great personality and talent, but he also does a great amount of philanthropic work which is part of the criteria for earning an immortal spot on the Walk of Fame", Walk of Fame ceremony producer Ana Martinez said, Variety reported. "This past year, Johnson starred in Paramount's "Baywatch" and Universal Pictures" "The Fate of the Furious", the 8th installment of the successful "Fast and Furious" franchise.

Johnson, 45, will soon be seen in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Rampage. His movies have made nearly $3 billion at the box office. He will star alongside Kevin Hart and Black Jack.

The Rock made guest appearances on television shows during most of his early acting career, but The Great One made his first appearance in a major film as The Scorpion King in The Mummy Returns in 2001. It's safe to say that Hollywood really knows what The Rock is cooking.
