Call of Duty WW2 Holiday Event Offers New Loot, Map, & Mode

Call of Duty: WWII is about to experience its first community-based event ever, and there's new content coming with it as well.

"The Winter Siege is all about celebrating with the Call of Duty® community", commented Sledgehammer Games' Senior Product Developer, Aaron Halon. Additionally, Captain Butcher, a new quartermaster, will be visiting Headquarters and and he will be bringing along some new Supply Drops that are full of new gear that's flawless for the cold weather, according to GameSpot. "Headquarters" is also being covered with snow and colorful lighting for the holidays. Headquarters will also get some special sprucing up, with additional new Supply Drops with appropriate winter wear as well as a temporary quartermaster.

Running Friday, December 8, 2017, through Tuesday, January 2, 2018, Winter Siege delivers an array of activities and content for free to all Call of Duty: WWII players for a limited time. Gun Game has been in previous Call of Duty titles, and it essentially pits players in a free-for-all race to get kills with different weapons in the game.

The first free Supply Drop is available from Friday December 8th until Monday December 11th and, from then on, a new gift will arrive each Monday until Winter Siege ends.

This includes the new "Winter Carentan" multiplayer map with a festive theme that will be released for free to all players. Players can earn a variant of each new weapon for free via Special Orders from Major Howard (Orders will be rotated daily to allow players to unlock a variant of each new weapon for free). Players will earn one Winter Siege Supply Drop each week for logging in during the event.
