Mall Evacuated in Middletown Amid Reports of a Shooting

At least two people were injured after reports of an active shooter prompted an upstate NY mall to evacuate Sunday afternoon.

Officials tell CBS reporters that two people were injured.

Police are responding to a shooting at the Galleria at Crystal Run in Middletown, according to state police.

The AP reports that a man who answered the mall security office's phone declined to comment.

People on scene tweeted the Galleria Mall has been evacuated.

The busy shopping mall is now being evacuated and police are directing traffic away from the area.

No information was immediately available on the victims.

Police radio reports say the shooter is no longer "active". Middleton is about 70 miles north of Manhattan.
