While there is no other information about the Android One version of the Moto X4, the leak hints to the possibility of handset been under works.

Google - who recently teamed up with Xiaomi for the Mi A1 handset - will be partnering up with Motorola (a company which it once owned) for an Android One handset. The Xiaomi Mi 5X has the same specifications as the newer Mi A1 announced this month, and the ROM brings the software on the same line, and because the device is easier to get a hold of than the Mi A1, picking it up and installing this new ROM might be preferable to some users even though the Mi A1 costs less. Apart from India, Google and Xiaomi are planning to release the device in Indonesia, Vietnam, Mexico and Russian Federation.

Moto X4 may be one of the first devices to pack Android One after the much anticipated Xiaomi Mi A1 launch in the Indian market. Further, the image clearly shows the Android One branding at the bottom of the phone.

Project Android One is a project from the Google to make affordable smartphones running on the latest version of the Android operating system with timely updates. The phone is powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor along with Adreno 508GPU. The Xiaomi Mi 5X launched with Android 7.0 Nougat. Moto X4 comes with two memory variants, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, while the other features a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. These will include an 8MP camera (f/2.2, 120-degree field of view) and a 12MP camera (f/2.0), along with a 16MP camera on the front for taking selfies.

While Evan did not mention anything beyond the render of the device, we can gauge the rest of the specs from the Moto X4. Both the devices allow you to expand the memory by using a microSD card upto 1TB. This edition of the Moto X4 would come up with Google Play Protect security feature out-of-the-box. The smartphone is backed by a 3,000mAh battery which as claimed by Motorola delivers a power backup for one single day. Along with all of this, it should be pointed out that the Moto X4 comes with a fingerprint reader and the IP68 certificate (it is water-proof) and a dual-SIM slot, which are all praiseworthy and offer good value.
