Taylor Swift wipes social media profiles, fuelling expectations of new album

What's Taylor Swift up to? However, it looks like things are about to change.

The superstar singer appeared to delete her profile pictures on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts as well as deleting all of her Instagram pictures.

Taylor Swift had a "blank space, baby" across social media Friday - and Swifties couldn't get enough of it.

Her last album, "1989", came out in 2014.

Her avatar photo was removed from all her social sites as well - including her Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter pages, where a few of Swift's posts remained as of early afternoon.

As for when Swift's new music will be released, Swift hasn't confirmed anything quite yet but when it comes to the latest reports, she is expected to give fans something by the end of this year. It's not clear. Some wondered if she'd been hacked. She knows there's a demand for a new album and has really started focusing on making that happen for fans.

So what has Swift been doing that has everyone talking about a new album?

Back in 2015, Taylor was targeted by hackers who took over her Twitter and Instagram accounts because the star quickly regained control of her profiles.

The 27-year-old singer has apparently been very busy working on new music in the past year. She also made a generous donation to a foundation for sexual assault victims after the fact.
