This is perhaps the reason HMD Global is working on a 3G variant of the device. Moreover, there have been rumours that the device will be launched as a budget smartphone alongside the Nokia 8 flagship smartphone. Based on all we've heard from the recent leaks, this particular phone seems to be the 3G variant of the Nokia 3310 (2017).

Speaking this morning, Sarah Edge from HMD Global, said that HMD's research showed that people were passionate for the Nokia products, with 96pc brand recognition in Ireland and the UK. On August 16 Nokia 8 will be official and all specifications will be cleared.

Nokia 8 that has been subject to a plethora of leaks, is set to hit the floors on August 16 and HMD Global has started sending out invites for its launch.

The new owner of the brand, HMD Global, is to release the Nokia 3, 5 and 6 smartphones as well as the reinvigorated Nokia 3310. Its standout features include a smart audio amplifier, dual speakers powered by Dolby and a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset.

According to Baidu, the Nokia 2 could ship with a 5-inch HD display alongside on-screen buttons. According to the recent leaked price of Nokia 8 also leaked and it was with a price tag of Euro 589 (approximately Rs.43,400). It is also expected to run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box. In terms of color, recently, the Copper Gold color variant of the alleged Nokia 8 was leaked in pictures. This is the first Nokia's device to feature a dual rear camera and the most satisfying feature of this phone is its Android Operating System. While on the pricing front, Nokia 2 is expected to be the cheaper than Nokia 3 which was launched at Rs 9,499.

According to the Geekbench listing, the rumored Nokia 2 has been labeled as Unknown Heart with a single-core score of 422.
