UFC stars Nate Diaz and Leslie Smith being sued by management group

According to the lawsuit, Diaz and his older brother Nick, who was also represented by the Ballengee Group, encouraged a third UFC fighter, women's bantamweight Leslie Smith, to hire the firm in 2015. The agency claims it negotiated on behalf of Diaz a total of four fights, including both contests against McGregor a year ago.

The Ballengee Group also alleged that Diaz did not compensate the company for its role in negotiating the contracts for Diaz's fights against Michael Johnson and Rafael dos Anjos.

The Ballengee Group filed the suit in District Court in Texas this week. Diaz's disclosed pay for that event, UFC 202, was $2 million. The Ballengee Group brought him to the show and he left them at the altar.

The Ballengee Group, led by Diaz's agent Lloyd Pierson, claims that they were "unexpectedly" fired after finishing the negotiations for Diaz's rematch with McGregor at UFC 202.

Following the split, the Ballengee Group alleges that Diaz never paid them for their cut in the profits made from the rematch with McGregor last August. Since the pair of McGregor fights, Diaz has stated that he will only return to the Octagon for the right fight and for the right price.

'Beggar' remark pits Badal against Badal in Punjab
Other measures include revamp of Farm Extension Services and a new legislation to regulate agriculture education. Badal earmarked Rs. 1,500 crore for waiving crop loans of distressed farmers.

Diaz's publicist, Zach Rosenfield, told ESPN, "We have no comment at this time".

The firm subsequently negotiated with the UFC on the younger Diaz's behalf for several bouts, including his blockbuster against Conor McGregor at UFC 196, an ill-fated rematch planned for UFC 200 and a follow-up at UFC 202.

The suit claims that unbeknownst to Ballengee, attorney Awad had begun "interfering with their agreements" with the Diaz brothers and advised Nate Diaz and Smith not to pay for their services.

Diaz (19-11 MMA, 14-9 UFC), 32, remains inactive on the UFC's roster since turning down a fight with Tony Ferguson at UFC 213 when the promotion didn't reach his financial demands.
