Ronaldo focused on Confederations Cup, says Portugal team-mate Andre Silva

Ronaldo focused on Confederations Cup, says Portugal team-mate Andre Silva

Reports in Portuguese newspaper A Bola report that the four time Balon d'Or victor has decided he wants to leave Spain this summer after accusations were pointed in his direction about tax evasion.

According to Marca, a Spanish sports daily, Ronaldo feels as if he's been "used as an example in an unfair and disproportionate way" by Spanish tax authorities, even after he tried to work with them to fix his tax issues.

Ronaldo's agents could not immediately be reached for comment.

Ronaldo and Zidane will reportedly hold further talks at the end of the Confederations Cup, but, for now, the player is keeping his own counsel after not appearing at the post-match press conference following Portugal's opening game of the tournament.

The world's top clubs are ready to scramble for Ronaldo's signature including his former club United, who want to be title challengers again.

Well, the 32-year-old forward could be set to leave Real Madrid this summer with BBC Football reporting that the 2016 Ballon d'Or victor is "upset" after being accused of tax fraud and wants to leave Spain.

Ronaldo's advisers, though, have been told to find him a new club outside Spain because he is angry after being accused of evading tax of 14.7m euros (£13m) between 2011 and 2014.

Mexico snatch draw with Portugal in Confederations Cup
But with the 90 minutes up, Mexican defender Moreno rose highest from the final corner of the game to head in the equaliser. The Champions of Europe met their counterparts from North America on Sunday in Kazan as Portugal faced off against Mexico .

That is the figure which is circulating in football and might tempt, in particular, Paris Saint-Germain to make such an offer, while Manchester United remain interested and could also go that high.

Ramon Calderon, the man who brought Cristiano Ronaldo to Madrid from Manchester, says that changing the player's mind about leaving will be very hard.

The Portuguese veteran's release clause stands at a staggering €1 billion, but Los Blancos will instead hold out for a transfer fee of €150 million.

Real backed that assertion, saying they were confident the Portuguese forward had acted legally.

It is understood that Ronaldo has told the club of his desire to move on, but Fernando Santos is questioning where the stories have come from.

Portugal's next game in the Confederations Cup is against hosts Russian Federation on Wednesday before the European champions conclude Group A against New Zealand on Saturday.
