'Wonder Woman' marks DC's triumphant return to great storytelling

'Wonder Woman' marks DC's triumphant return to great storytelling

Ironically, the film has nothing to do with the DC universe, with The Playlist digging up an IMDB tagline that states simply: "A fighting pitbull finds itself on a odd and unexpected journey that will ultimately decide its fate".

The creative mastermind explained: "To get her guidance, as the person who has been carrying the mantle of Wonder Woman for all these years and is the one who inspired so many of us to love Wonder Woman". Not only is it a superhero movie with a female lead, but it is also directed by a female.

Wonder Woman succeeds in being a good mouthpiece, speaking out against human atrocities without glorifying them. Patty Jenkins's Wonder Woman, which had the dual responsibility of hitting the bull's eye as the first solo film dedicated to the female superhero as well as break the DCEU jinx, is here to change that. That said, I hope people head out to the theaters this weekend and give this movie a chance-it could only benefit the future of cinema.

Donald Trump blasts 'very bad' Germany on Twitter
White House chief economic adviser Gary Cohn clarified to reporters that the president was referring to Germany's trade practices. He said Germany wants to shoulder more responsibility on the world stage.

In this clip, Diana Prince and Steve Trevor are confronted by shady, German-accented villains, who want to take a notebook from Steve. "But without ever knowing it, I think 'Wonder Woman" was my dream role. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers ... and her true destiny. "What's that?" she asks, walking in on Steve having a bath. "It is definitely the best super hero movie this year", said a movie fan. DC has been doing its utmost to establish its extended movie universe, but critics and audiences have been divided on Man of Steel, Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Perhaps it's because it has a relevancy that other great moments lack - war is nothing to laugh at, and the dire situation makes Diana's action all the more inspirational.

She explained: "The three of us share some sisterhood by living and breathing this character".

Gadot can next be seen as Wonder Woman in Justice League, starring alongside her fellow DC castmates Henry Cavill, who portrays Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, and Jason Momoa's Aquaman in the film, slated for a November (17) release. Will she be able to stop the war?
